How to grant support access to your Salesforce organisation

To assist you with resolving an issue or question, our team may request temporary access to your Salesforce org.

You may do this by enabling access to CRM Team Global Limited Support as outlined below.

You should never share passwords with either your internal team or with our support team.

Step 1: Check pre-requisites

To grant our support team access to your org without to allocating the one of your paid Salesforce licenses, you will need to have at least one CRM.Team app installed.

You can check if you already have an app installed with the following steps.

Salesforce Classic

  1. Click on your name from the top-right header menu
  2. Choose My Settings from the list
  3. Select Personal from the left-hand menu
  4. Select Grant Account Login Access from the Personal sub-menu
  5. Check that CRM Team Global Limited Support in the list of organizations to provide access to

Salesforce Lightning Experience

  1. Click on your photo in the top-right of the Lightning Experience page
  2. Choose Settings from just underneath your name (next to the Log Out link)
  3. Select Grant Account Login Access from the ‘My Personal Information’ sub-menu that is automatically visible
  4. Check that CRM Team Global Limited Support in the list of organizations to provide access to

If CRM Team Global Limited Support is not listed, you will need to install one of our free apps. There are a range of these available for free on our free app website: https://crmappslab.com.

Please install one of these apps in your org.  CRM Team Global Limited will then be listed as a support provider.

Note : you don’t need to use the app, you just need to have it installed.

Step 2: Grant Access

Having followed the pre-requiste steps above, in the picklist on the same line as CRM Team Global Limited, select the duration of access (e.g. 1 month) and press Save.

Duration

  • System Administrators may provide login access to our support team and access may be granted for fixed periods up to 1 month.
  • In most support-related cases, we recommend providing access for at least 1 week.
  • If you have a Salesforce Admin Support contract in place with us we recommend enabling access for 1 month.

You may deactivate CRM Team Global Limited Support from accessing your organization at any time.

Note that System Administrators cannot provide login access for other users – each user must provide login access themselves.
